What is the M.R.C.A.A.
As an alliance of dedicated contractors and suppliers, the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association of Australia Limited represents the interests of the metal roofing industry as a whole.
Formed in 1971, the association has been instrumental in raising the status and standard of the industry through its connection with other trade associations, government decision-making bodies and educational organisations.
The association is directed by a president, aided by a Vice President, with both required to be contractor members. A Treasurer, Secretary and Committee support them. Our regular monthly meetings are forums for any member of the industry to present a point of view or demonstrate a new product.
Meetings are the first Monday of each month, with some variations according to commitments or calendar difficulties.
The MRCAA schedules an AGM for August of each year where all elected officials who have served for one year, vacate their positions and the newly elected executive carries on for the ensuing year.
The Association has for some years promoted recognition for the Industry’s skills by running the "Awards for Excellence" which reward the advancing skill levels being reached by the industry. This culminates in an Awards Presentation Evening attended by a large numbers of industry participants, and has become an important event in the industry calendar. The awards are held November each year.
Projects completed during the financial year are eligible, with the cut off date for entries to be submitted being the end of September.
Categories for the Awards are Residential, Commercial, Heritage, Refurbishment and a Premium Award for the best overall project.
