Privacy Collection Statement
The information collected on this form is for the primary purpose of assessing an applicant's suitability for employment with the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Limited (MRCAA Ltd), members, or other companies seeking employees in the metal roofing industry. We will observe the following policy with respect to this information:
(a) The information on this application form collected as part of the application process will be received by the Association’s staff concerned with the relevant employment decisions. If the application succeeds, it may be used by persons accessing the Association’s employment records. It may also be used by related companies for employment related reasons;
(b) The Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Limited (MRCAA Ltd), members, or other companies seeking employees will generally collect personal information about an applicant from an applicant. Sometimes the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Limited (MRCAA Ltd), members, or other companies seeking employees may collect it from other people. For example, a referee nominated by you. This will generally occur with your consent;
(c) Generally an applicant’s personal information will not be disclosed to third parties (persons other than related companies, staff and consultants etc) without their consent. However, sometimes the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Limited (MRCAA Ltd), members, or other companies seeking employees may be obliged to disclose it, for example, if it is required by a Court;
(d) The information will be retained, if the application is unsuccessful, for not more than 12 months. It will then be destroyed. If the candidate is successful and employed by a company, the information will be retained as part of the company's employment records and may be used for employment related purposes;
(e) The information will be stored, securely within the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Limited (MRCAA Ltd), members, or other companies seeking employees.
(f) Sensitive information such as health information and criminal record checks will only be collected when it is necessary to determine whether the applicant can perform the job;
(g) If a candidate falsifies or fails to supply the information requested the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Limited (MRCAA Ltd), members, or other companies seeking employees may reject the application;
(h) The applicant may access personal information collected about the applicant by contacting the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Limited (MRCAA Ltd)
(i) Prior to any application passing to any prospective employer they will be required to comply with the conditions above.
